What could/would Saturn in the 9th house in natal chart represent or symbolise and why?
I also have Saturn in the 9th House. Saturn demands personal responsibility wherever it is placed in the chart. I am guessing due to the info given that your Saturn is in Leo? (Just re-read your question so Saturn is in late Cancer, correct?) Well right now let's focus on that Saturn. The 9th House rules higher education and travel, both in the mind (possibly metaphysical study) and literally traveling long distances away from home. The ancients used to refer to the 9th House as "Long Journeys Over Water." And that was how one really traveled far back in the day. On a ship that was moving far far away from home. So with this position one must literally and figuratively travel far and wide. This is going to take your own personal responsibility to please Saturn, who I often metaphorically represent as "The Father." You have to make an effort in this life to explore other cultures and countries with this position (literally). And you also have to make an effort to expand your mind through taking college classes (attending at least by taking a few courses) and also begin to explore metaphysical studies (philosophy, astrology, numerology, reincarnation, religion (theology), biblical study, spirituality, other cultures belief systems, etc). The list is endless. So please don't be a "homebody" and begin some research on metaphysical studies of your choice. Just choose something! (the prefix "meta" means beyond, in other words beyond the physical, such as the intangibles in life, love, emotions, infinity, etc) So get you a book on some type of metaphysical study and start planning to travel to learn about others ways. Oh, the square (meaning two planets that are 90 degrees apart) is what is called an "imperfect" square as usually a square has two fixed signs, or two mutable signs, or two cardinal signs. These are called the modes. Cardinal (begins action) Fixed (organizes the action) and Mutable (ties up the loose strings at the end) Since your square is actually between Cancer and Scorpio (which would normally be a trine of 120 degrees) these are usually, I said usually, easier squares to handle. A square in the chart means that there is a personal life lesson that is needing some attention. As it is in the 12th house and it includes Uranus (the planet of change) I would tend to believe that it is time to "let go" of things that no longer serve a purpose in your life. Since Saturn is involved this means that again, you will have to take personal reponsibility to make these necessary changes. Out with the old, in with the new. I have not studied the asteroids as of yet. Astrology is a life-long study and nobody has all the answers. Hope this has been helpful. Good luck and Bless you.
