If i practice karate at a different dojo, will i have to start off as a white belt again?

I'm in karate and i just got my orange belt today, and in two years I will be graduating from highschool. I know it takes a few years to get your black belt, and since I plan on going to college after school out of town, will I have to start back at white belt at a new dojo? Or can I continue on with whichever belt color I have?
